This ended up being exactly the kind of jacket I wanted. Loose enough that I can move however I want in the park, enough room for different layers and simple enough to match everything. I've used it for jumps, rails and full normal resort days without any annoying fit issues. It has also held up really well considering how many times I've hit the ground wearing it. After a bunch of use the seams and cuffs still look good. Definitely one of my favourite pieces in my ski setup now.
I was looking specifically for something black and oversized for freestyle and this checked both boxes. The fit feels natural instead of like I'm swimming in an incorrectly sized jacket.
looks sick
The first thing I noticed was how much easier it was to move my shoulders compared with my old jacket. Makes park skiing feel way more comfortable.
Wore it from opening until almost closing and stayed comfortable the entire time.
solid
Loose enough for freestyle without feeling completely massive.
Nothing pulls across my back when I'm doing grabs.
The jacket itself feels great but I underestimated the freestyle sizing. Mine is wider than I normally wear.
The relaxed shape makes a big difference after wearing more fitted jackets for years.
Loose through the shoulders and arms without feeling like I accidentally bought the wrong size. Been really comfortable for rails and jumps.
Black goes with everything and the fit gives it enough personality without needing a crazy design.
I bought it mainly for park days but it's comfortable enough that I've been using it for regular resort laps too.
The proportions look really good with my park setup. Doesn't have that narrow fitted look.
Really good
I've landed on this thing way too many times already and it still looks surprisingly good. No loose seams or obvious damage so far.
I've tried just sizing up normal ski jackets before and it never feels the same. This has room around the shoulders, arms and body while still sitting properly when I'm moving.
I really like the fit but on the coldest days I definitely need a good hoodie or midlayer underneath. There's plenty of room for it at least.
The fit has exactly the amount of room I wanted for park skiing. Easy to move in and looks really clean with wider pants.
I bought this expecting it to be my park-only jacket so I wasn't planning to baby it. Good thing because I've already slammed on rails, slid across hard snow and caught the bottom edge on something getting off the lift. Somehow there still isn't a tear anywhere. The fit gives me a ton of room without making the jacket annoying in the wind. I usually wear a hoodie underneath and everything still moves freely. Black also hides most of the little dirt marks it picks up. Really solid so far.
I've probably fallen in this fifteen times already and it still cleans up really well. No obvious wear besides a couple tiny marks.
I can fit a pretty thick sweatshirt underneath and still have plenty of movement around my shoulders.
I've been switching all my ski stuff over to a looser freestyle setup and this jacket was basically the last piece I needed. The shape works really well with baggy pants without looking ridiculously huge. More importantly it actually feels good while skiing. My arms have plenty of room and I don't feel the jacket pulling when spinning. I've worn it with a hoodie on cold days and a thinner layer when it's warmer. Both setups work great. Took a pretty hard rail fall last week and somehow didn't even scuff it badly.
I liked the simple black look online but I didn't realize how much I'd like the fit until I actually skied in it. It's roomy in the right places and doesn't feel stiff at all. I spent most of my first day doing park laps and never had to adjust the jacket or pull the sleeves back into place. There's enough room underneath for layering without making everything bulky. I've worn it around eight times since and haven't had any issues with durability. Really happy with it.
Park days feel better
I wanted something that had a proper freestyle shape but was still practical enough to wear every ski day. This has been pretty much perfect. There's lots of space for a hoodie underneath and nothing gets tight when I reach down for grabs. I've already taken a few rough falls in the park and haven't noticed any damage. The black is simple and works with every pair of pants I own. After around ten days wearing it everything still feels solid. Definitely became my main jacket faster than I expected.
Great jacket
Favourite black jacket
I like baggy outerwear but this was even wider than I pictured. Probably would've sized down if I knew. Still really comfortable though.
My new main jacket
black is so clean
Five days skiing and this was the only jacket I brought. I spent probably half the trip in the park and the rest exploring the mountain. It worked well for both. On colder mornings I put a heavy sweatshirt underneath and on the warmer afternoon I switched to a thinner layer. The relaxed fit made both comfortable. I fell plenty and the jacket came home with some dirt but no actual damage. Would happily bring it on another trip.
