Feels sturdy and works better than the old scraper I was using.
I've used the same scraper on my skis and my girlfriend's snowboard. Worked well on both.
I do my own skis plus a couple friends' boards, so this gets used pretty regularly. It handles both without any issue and makes it easy to remove the bulk of the wax before brushing. The scraper feels solid and I can apply pressure evenly across the edge. For such a basic tool it saves a surprising amount of frustration.
Nothing complicated. It removes the wax and leaves the base ready for brushing.
After scraping and brushing, my board base comes out looking really smooth.
Feels durable and gets excess wax off without much effort.
I used to dread scraping because it took forever with my old tool. This one made the process noticeably quicker.
I wax pretty frequently during the season and this has made the finishing process easier. It feels rigid enough to put some pressure into the scrape without feeling awkward. I can work from tip to tail pretty quickly and get a clean surface before brushing.
I only wax a few times each season and this does everything I need. Nothing fancy but it works.
Doesn't take up much room with my tuning supplies and I use it every time I wax.
It works exactly as expected and feels durable enough. Pretty straightforward tuning tool.
It scrapes wax well and feels sturdy. Nothing fancy but that's really all I wanted from it.
Good edge, comfortable enough to use and leaves the base clean.
It still works but I found harder wax takes a few more passes than I expected. Fine for my normal tuning though.
It worked really well at first but after a lot of tuning I felt like the edge wasn't biting quite as nicely. Still usable and gets the job done.
A proper scrape made a bigger difference than I expected when I first started waxing. This helps me get the excess off evenly instead of leaving random thick spots.
The size feels good in my hands and I can keep pressure pretty even while scraping.
It scraped really well initially. After quite a few uses I needed to touch up the edge to get it working the way I wanted again.
Works well, although after doing multiple pairs in a row my hands get a bit tired holding it.
It's a solid scraper and gets the job done. I would've liked it to be slightly more comfortable to hold during longer tuning sessions.
Good basic tool
Good quality
Does the job
Durable, straightforward and removes excess wax cleanly.
I'm still pretty new to tuning my own skis and this made the scraping stage much less frustrating. I can see the excess wax coming off evenly and it's easier to tell when I'm actually finished. The scraper feels solid enough that I can apply consistent pressure without worrying about it flexing all over the place.
I used to rush the scraping part because my old scraper wasn't very good. This one removes wax much more consistently and makes it easier to get the base looking clean. I've used it on both my skis and my brother's snowboard without any issues.
I can scrape along most of the ski in one controlled pass instead of constantly stopping and restarting.
I've used it throughout the season and it's still the scraper I reach for first.
Mine works fine but I expected the edge to feel slightly sharper out of the box. Still gets the wax off with a few extra passes.
I used to use whatever plastic edge I had around because I didn't think a dedicated scraper mattered much. It definitely does. This is easier to control and gets excess wax off much more evenly.
Before getting a proper scraper I was leaving way too much wax behind because I couldn't get consistent pressure. This feels much more controlled. It gets the big layers off quickly and then I can make lighter passes until the base is ready for brushing. I've used it on different waxes and both skis and boards. Nothing complicated, it just works.
Pretty good
I've started doing basic waxing at home and having the right tools makes it way less intimidating. This scraper is simple but does its part really well. The edge catches the extra wax cleanly and I can see the base getting smoother with each pass. I use it on two pairs of skis and haven't had any major issues. Between this, wax and a brush I can handle most of what I need during the season.
