Not replacing my skis but I don't think that's the point. Great for random hills and messing around.
The first few turns felt completely wrong and then suddenly it started making sense. Now that's part of what makes them fun.
Once I figured them out I started looking for every little bump and turn I could find.
The compact size is awesome. I've brought them places where I never would've bothered bringing my normal skis.
I wanted something different to mess around with and these definitely delivered. They require more balance than I expected because there's so little under your feet compared with normal skis. Once I got that part down they became really fun for carving and playing around on shorter runs.
I spent a lot of the first session falling. Second time out was way better and now I actually enjoy them.
I ski regularly and assumed I'd pick these up immediately. Nope 😂 The short length makes the balance feel really different. Fun product but expect to practice.
The portability is awesome and I like the adjustable bindings. Personally I struggled with stability more than I expected and still haven't fully gotten used to them.
I wanted to love these but the balance never really clicked for me. They're definitely portable and well suited to smaller hills, just harder for me than expected.
I wouldn't choose these for everything but they're perfect for the little hills around where I live. Way easier than bringing full ski gear.
I had to adjust them a couple times before the fit felt right. After that they stayed in place well and riding was much better.
They're definitely harder than they look at first. Took me most of an afternoon before I felt comfortable, but they're really fun once you get there.
Awesome
So much fun
This is probably the biggest reason I've used them so much. I can leave them in the car without sacrificing half my trunk like I would with skis. If we find a decent snowy hill I can just pull them out and start riding. They're surprisingly fun to carve once you understand the balance.
The first couple runs were pretty rough because the balance feels totally different from skis. After I stopped trying to ride them exactly like regular skis it got much easier. They're super playful and being able to carry them around without hauling full-size gear is probably my favourite part.
I can literally carry these around without it becoming a whole mission. Makes spontaneous snow days way easier.
Four of us took turns using these on a local hill and everyone ended up wanting another run. They're small enough that carrying them back uphill isn't annoying and adjusting the bindings between people was pretty straightforward. Definitely more of a playful snow-day thing for me than serious ski gear, which is exactly why I like them.
Pretty cool
I originally thought these would be something I use once for the novelty and then forget about. I've actually taken them out a bunch because they're so convenient. No long skis to carry, no big setup, just grab them and find a hill. There's definitely a learning curve and you have to stay centered, but that's also what makes riding them interesting. They're especially fun when the hill isn't big enough to justify normal skis.
There's a small hill near me that isn't really worth bringing actual skis to, so these are perfect for it. They're light enough to carry up over and over and you can get a surprising amount of movement out of something so small. Learning to stay centered took me a while and I definitely ate it a few times lol. Once I got comfortable I started being able to carve around way more naturally. Been taking them out whenever we get fresh snow now.
I brought these on a weekend trip because there was basically no space left in the car for full skis. They barely took up any room. We found a small snowy hill near where we were staying and spent a couple hours messing around on them. The bindings were easy enough to adjust and after some practice I was actually carving instead of just trying not to fall. They turned out to be one of the most fun things we brought.
Was only planning to try them for an hour and ended up hiking the hill over and over.
My friends and I started seeing who could make it down our hill without falling and somehow spent basically the entire afternoon doing it. Once you get comfortable they're super playful.
Took a few tries to figure out the balance but once it clicked these were so fun. Carving around a small hill feels completely different from normal skiing.
These aren't something I bought to replace skis. They're just insanely fun when you want to mess around on a smaller hill with friends.
First day I honestly wasn't sure about them because I kept losing balance. Tried again the next weekend and everything started clicking.
I've skied for years and these still made me feel like I was learning something new. Because they're so short you really have to stay balanced and pay attention to where your weight is. The first runs were messy but by the end of the day I could actually link turns and play around with them. They're also ridiculously easy to transport. Fun thing to have around when you don't feel like doing a normal ski day.
Got the fit dialed in pretty quickly and they stayed secure while I was riding.
Love them
That's basically why I love these. They're small enough that I can keep them around without planning a whole ski trip and they're genuinely fun whenever there's a decent snowy hill.
I love how small they are compared with dragging skis around. Threw them in the car and used them on a random hill with friends.
Great little setup
