The colour was the main reason I chose this version and it's still my favourite thing about it. The warmth is excellent and I don't need nearly as many layers as I used to. I also really like how the big puffer shape works with baggy ski pants. It's taken plenty of falls without anything coming apart so far. Mine has been used constantly on colder days and still looks great. Definitely something I'd buy again.
stone goes crazy
I've worn it with black, grey and brown pants and the stone colour works with all of them.
such a nice puffer
Very warm and comfortable. Just too much jacket for me once the weather starts getting mild.
Stone matches basically everything in my ski setup.
If you're between sizes and don't want it extremely baggy I'd probably go smaller. Warmth is excellent though.
I don't have to spend ten minutes deciding how many layers I need anymore.
I mainly got this for the days where my normal jacket isn't enough. Huge difference on the chairlift and I can wear fewer layers.
The stone colour is what sold me and I'm glad I picked it. Doesn't look like every other black puffer on the hill.
Perfect when it's properly cold outside. I wouldn't choose it for a warm spring day though.
The first couple lift rides used to be brutal for me and now I'm actually comfortable.
Better than my old puffer
I notice the warmth most when I'm waiting around or sitting on the lift. Makes longer days much easier.
I usually start getting cold whenever I'm sitting still but this has made lift rides so much more comfortable.
It's definitely warm and I like the colour but I prefer thinner jackets when I'm spending the whole day on rails. Just felt a little bulky for my style.
The stone colour looks even better outside and works perfectly with darker ski pants. Super warm without needing tons underneath.
I bought this specifically because I was tired of stuffing layers under a shell every time it got cold. It solved that immediately. Most days I've been fine with a much lighter setup underneath and I stay warmer on lifts than I did before. The oversized shape is big but works really well with wide pants and a freestyle setup. I've had a couple pretty hard falls and nothing has ripped. Stone does pick up some marks but mine cleaned up without much trouble. Overall it's exactly what I wanted from a winter puffer.
Definitely has that oversized puffer shape but it doesn't feel awkward once I'm actually skiing.
Most of my park sessions are later in the day and once the sun goes down I normally freeze. This has made a massive difference. I can wear a normal sweatshirt underneath instead of piling on layers and I'm still comfortable between runs. I was worried a puffer this big would make grabs feel awkward but I've adjusted to it really quickly. The stone colour also looks sick under the lights. I've fallen on it plenty already and haven't noticed any damage. Probably the best jacket in my rotation for night skiing.
I've used it mostly for colder park sessions and I'm surprised how quickly I got used to the extra puffiness. There's still enough space and movement for the way I ski. I especially like not needing a massive hoodie underneath just to stay warm. Stone also looks cleaner in person than I expected from the pictures. After a handful of sessions it still looks basically new.
I've always liked the oversized puffer look but didn't want something that felt impossible to ski in. This has been really comfortable so far. There's a lot of room through the body and arms and I can still move naturally when I'm doing park laps. The warmth is probably the biggest upgrade from my old setup because I'm not stacking three layers underneath anymore. Stone looks ridiculously good with black pants too. I've taken a few falls and everything is holding up fine. This is definitely staying as my main cold-weather jacket.
Cold weather winner
Looks even better outside
Winter setup complete
My regular size gave me more of an oversized look than I personally wanted. Went down a size and I'm much happier with it.
warm as hell
I took this on a four-day trip where the forecast was pretty cold the whole time. Ended up wearing it every day. I could keep my layers underneath simple and never had that freezing feeling on long lift rides. It is definitely oversized but I actually liked the extra room once I started skiing in it. I spent plenty of time doing park laps and it never became a major annoyance. After several falls there's still no visible damage. The stone colour came home a little dirty but cleaned up nicely.
